Greetings one and all and welcome to the latest Throne Report, Mystical Throne Entertainment’s online newsletter posted periodically on Fridays. This online newsletter is meant to keep all our fans informed about what we’re working on, what’s been released, important announcements, and a look at what’s coming up. Aaron T. Huss President General Update The ScreenPlay playtest from Broken Ruler Games is going strong! Over 500 people have downloaded the playtest packet and we’re only a month in. Watch abroad for various updates. Mercenary Breed The fourth book of the Hastilion Expanse campaign (Infiltration) is now available. This book covers Veteran rank with the fifth book coming in December to cover Heroic rank and finish up the campaign. Once book five is released, all of them will be compiled into a single, full campaign book available in full-color hardcover and black-and-white softcover. Licensed Campaigns Writing continues on Five Points (Dark Streets). The short chapter regarding the Mythos is done and I’m knee-deep in a chapter called “Setting the Scene”. This chapter involves all the different historical and fictional aspects of the setting and how they can affect gameplay. This includes advice for GMs looking to incorporate one or more aspects and an overall further description of what each one means to the setting as a whole. Ultimate Guides Ultimate Celts Guide (Savage Worlds) is in layout. The content is fully laid out and I’m not getting the artwork in from my regular artist Andrew DeFelice. This one features five original pieces from Andrew to create that Celtic appeal. The next book, Ultimate Conspiracies Guide, has just wrapped up editing. However, I’m only releasing a maximum of one Ultimate Guides book per quarter and this one will be set aside now until February. Both books are written by Tyler Omichinski. Entropic Gaming System The revised Entropic Gaming System core rulebook is currently in layout. This book features some updated mechanics given feedback and what-not during the course of the past 11 months the system has been available. It’s not a significant change, but there are important changes to note. This new book will also feature our new standard 7×10 layout and come in a full-color hardcover along with a black-and-white paperback. The revised Quick Start Guide will be started soon. Third Party Publishers No updates here, but keep on the look-out for new 3PP EGS products. Shadowed Earth Judgment Day: Quick Start Guide is back on my development list. This version will feature all the Victorian mechanics, a Victorian introductory adventure, and 6 Victorian pregenerated characters. It will be available as Pay-What-You-Want in PDF and print-on-demand. It will be available in both EGS and Savage Worlds versions. Development on Cryptozoology #02: Otherworldly Beings hasn’t begun yet. The book is on my to-do list, but I’ve decided to slow down on development. Things were getting a little overwhelming. Bestiarum Vocabulum EGS and Savage Worlds are also available in PDF and POD. There’s a good chance that an Ancient World: Quick Start Guide will be developed and released as Pay-What-You-Want in both PDF and POD. These are a great way of introducing settings to potential customers. I’ll probably pull together a nice bundle of EGS Quick Start Guides as a type of Try Before You Buy package.
