Greetings one and all and welcome to the latest Throne Report, Mystical Throne Entertainment’s weekly online newsletter that will (hopefully) be posted every Friday. This online newsletter is meant to keep all our fans informed about what we’re working on, what’s been released, important announcements, and a look at what’s coming up.
I will be on vacation for two weeks starting Tuesday. Things will get fairly quiet and most of the basic news at Roleplayers Chronicle will not be posted. However, my correspondents and I have been working on lots of headlines that have been and will be scheduled for release. Thus, there is plenty to look forward to with lots of great articles coming.
If you missed the announcement, Mystical Throne Entertainment has grabbed the first ever license to produce a campaign for Colonial Gothic, published by Rogue Games. This campaign, titled New World, has now been outlined and be split across a 14-part release with each part containing a major plot point. As an added bonus, New World will exhibit the previously devised Perilous Journey publication format whereas each publication will contain campaign content, a mini-sourcebook, fiction, and a small bestiary! Print-on-Demand compilations will be released every 3 or 4 releases.
Today marks the release of the final Savage Insider issue under the old model as we move to our new publication model starting in April 2014. Tales of the Weird features our new design and is filled with fantasy horror content including the flagship article The Asylum, a Victorian fantasy horror adventure. Work has already begun on Issue #10: Make it Epic, our first fantasy-only issue.
Freelancer Christopher J.N. Banks, military historian and author of Ultimate Roman Legions Guide and Ultimate Three Kingdoms Guide, has been working on his next supplement Ultimate Privateering Guide. This latest sourcebook harkens back to the years of privateers and will be available for Savage Worlds and Renaissance.
Mythos Core Setting Guide
I have finished up all first draft edits for the Mythos core setting guide and handed them all off to Vickey for final edits. Now that Savage Insider Issue #9 is completed, she’ll get back to editing this book which will hopefully be released in August.
Aaron has finished the first 6 chapters of the Shadowed Earth core setting guide, bringing the content to chapter 7 with a look at the Middle Ages. Don’t forget to check-out the Encyclopedia Chaotica at Shadowed Earth Online to get a preview of what’s to come.
The Better Angels Featured Product series is written and scheduled for release starting Saturday, July 13. With great anticipation, August will bring Shadowrun 5th Edition!
