Faith & Demons: The Rising Preview #3

Continuing my weekly series of previews for the upcoming Faith & Demons: The Rising core rulebook, a plot point setting for Savage Worlds, here’s an extract from Equipment.

Martial Melee

Martial melee weapons are available for purchase within all urban areas and most villages. Due to their weight, size or proficiency requirements, wielding martial melee weapons imposes a -2 penalty to rolls associated with casting a spell. This is cumulative with all other armor and shield penalties.

Axe, Battle

Battle axes are used in warfare by many different cultures. They have a long handle that requires the use of two hands and a slightly larger head than the standard throwing axe.

Langseax

A seax is a knife used by the Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian nations. These are similar in shape and size to other daggers but are constructed with a single-edged blade. A long seax used like a short sword is known as a langseax.
