Throne Report – April 19, 2013
Greetings one and all and welcome to the latest Throne Report, Mystical Throne Entertainment’s weekly online newsletter that will (hopefully) be posted every Friday. This online newsletter is meant to keep all our fans informed about what we’re working on, what’s been released, important announcements, and a look at what’s coming up.
We have posted the announcement for submissions for Issue #9: Tales of the Weird. This issue focuses on fantasy, horror, and fantasy horror from the Victorian era through World War II. We would love adventure, Character Gallery, and General Interest submissions. If you are interested please contact the Editor-in-Chief at:
First draft editing is complete for the upcoming Ultimate Three Kingdoms Guide, featuring a look at the Three Kingdoms period of Ancient China. The manuscript has been handed off for final draft editing and we are now looking at a release date in May. A product description page has been added with a look at the front cover:
Mythos Core Setting Guide
Aaron and Vickey have been busy plugging away on the editing of Mythos. The book is a 13-chapter book and we have finished first and final draft edits through chapter 8. We are still on track to release this in July with first draft editing now begun on chapter 9.
Shadowed Earth Core Setting Guide
Aaron has finished the first 3 chapters of the Shadowed Earth core setting guide, bringing the content to chapter 4 with a look at the Iron Age. Writing has begun on chapter 4 (out of at least 10 chapters) with quite a bit more to do. First draft editing is completed on the first 3 chapters and a final draft editor has been identified. There is currently no estimated release date yet, but it will be available this year.
Faith & Demons: The Rising
We have just released the latest Nation Guide for Faith & Demons: The Rising, featuring the nation of Croatia. This will actually be the last Nation Guide in its current incarnation as we plan to relaunch the Faith & Demons: The Rising line next year. The focus of the setting will be changing and details will be released later this year. The current books will be compatible, but the overall setting will be revamped to provide better structure and to bring it inline better with the Shadowed Earth core setting guide being released this year.
A decision has been made about the future of Twilight Continuum with an announcement on both the Facebook and Google+ pages. Here are the details:
Twilight Continuum will live on, in the form of a campaign setting for Mercenary Breed. This new campaign setting will be released as a 2-book set featuring a player’s handbook with all character options and the majority of the setting information and a GM’s handbook with the behind-the-scenes setting information, bestiary, and the Twilight Continuum storyline campaign.
The release of the Twilight Continuum set will coincide with a relaunch (and extensive expansion) of Mercenary Breed. This dual-release will allow players to further enhance their Twilight Continuum campaign should they wish to incorporate options from within the Mercenary Breed core set.
We are hoping to keep both player’s and GM’s handbooks to under $10 in PDF format and both will be available in print-on-demand and possibly retail fulfillment.
Additional information about the relaunch of Mercenary Breed will be announced in the upcoming months.
